Emergency First Responder & Rescue Diver Course
3 days
As a diver, your main focus so far has most likely been the fish surrounding you and your own experience. But wouldn’t it be amazing to also be able to help other divers if necessary? As a rescue diver, you know what to do when others need your assistance.
SCUBAFISH Dive Center offers the Padi Rescue Diver Course with the Emergency First Responder course.
During the first day, you will complete the Emergency First Responder Course at the dive center. You learn how to deal with a variety of emergency scenarios including shock, stress, choking, hypothermia, bleeding, and providing CPR. This part of the course is designed to prepare you to take action when others may need your help. The gained skills are not only helpful during diving, but also in any other situation.
The last two days of the course are dedicated to learn how to rescue someone in both confined and open water. You practice to effectively perform diver assistance and rescues, manage diving accidents, and perform the first aid. Building upon what you’ve already learned in your previous courses, this course expands on how to prevent problems and how to manage them if they occur.
The minimum age to do the course is 12 years old.
